Pulp – Cells – Comminute

The product obtained from the edible parts of fruit, without removing the juice. For citrus fruit, pulp or cells are the juice sacs obtained from the endocarp.

Comminute: Whole fruit puree. The use of the whole citrus fruit for a distinct, full flavor. The outer layers of the fruit are included as the product is pulped and then sieved to remove from seeds. Only citrus fruits are comminute.

Pulp wash (water extracted soluble solids): Pulp produced by washing the fruit pulp residues, following the juice extraction to extract any remaining juice.
